Mr. Mahowald is responsible for the origination, analysis, structuring and execution of new investment activity for RSF, a real estate private equity firm that manages $500 million in investment capital.
Prior to forming RSF in January 1997, Mr. Mahowald was a partner in the Robert M. Bass Group where he was a founding principal of the Brazos Fund, a real estate private equity fund, Lone Star Opportunity Fund and Colony Capital. During his association with the Bass Group, Mr. Mahowald played a key role in the acquisition and management of over $8 billion in real estate assets.
Mr. Mahowald received a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and BS in Mathematics from the Santa Clara University. He serves on the Board of Directors of Capstead Mortgage (NYSE: CMO).
